$25,000 YANEO enriches the lives of children and promotes creative learning by uniting arts and education. It is the 4th largest affiliated professional chapter of Young Audiences, Inc., the country's oldest and largest nonprofit arts-in-education organization dedicated to making the arts essential to the development of all school-aged children.

Art is Education (AiE) is based on the philosophy that the arts are essential to a comprehensive education and that effective implementation of arts integration techniques can positively impact teaching and learning for all children, particularly those at risk of educational failure. The AiE initiative was established in 2004 through a collaboration with the CMSD and a consortium of Cleveland arts/cultural organizations. In 2009-2010 AiE programming served 3,717 students and 347 teachers with 1,730 workshops, 183 residencies, 31 artist performances and 7 field trips. There were 27 teacher professional development workshops and 120 artists and 8 ensembles participated. While 40 agencies participate, four or five organizations work within one school. Partners include: the Cleveland Orchestra, Opera Cleveland, The Music Settlement and Progressive Arts Alliance and many others.  The 2010-2011 initiative will take place in eleven K-8 CMSD schools to engage 4,750 students. Teachers and arts specialists select local arts and cultural organizations for year-long partnerships that include residencies, field trips and in-school performances.
